Exercise

Put TEC data images over Japan at 300km altitude.
TEC is total electron content measured by GPS receivers. It is the integration value of electron density in the ionosphere and the plasmasphere.
  • Times of data are 15:00, 15:15, 15:30, 15:45, 16:00 and 16:15 on April 20, 2002 in UT.

  • Location of data is from 28N to 46N in Latitude, and from 128E to 146E in Longitude.

  • Image files: 15:00   15:15   15:30   15:45   16:00   16:15  

  • sample KML for images

  • Set the start time of each images at the time above, and set the end time at the time 1 second before the star time of the next image.

  • Confirm they are at 300km altitude by looking from the side.
  • Push the "Play buttom" on the right-hand side of the "time-bar" to confirm the images are displayed sequentially.
